Parents Only Meeting
Our season begins with an informative PARENTS MEETING that will be held at Date/Time May 25, 2011 at the KENNETT TOWNSHIP BUILDING located at the intersection of Hillendale & Burrows Run Roads. (From GWC: Turn R onto 52S, Turn R onto Hillendale Rd, Continue to 7-point intersection, Township Building will be on your L) The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. for all swim team parents. We will present an outline of the 2011 swim season, highlighting important changes. This evening will also be an opportunity to meet, our Head Coach, Scott Elliott. He will present the team's philosophy and answer any questions that you have regarding practice and meets. We encourage returning and new families to attend this meeting.

Swimmer Eligibility Requirements
All new swimmers must swim for the coaches before beginning regular practice to confirm that they meet the basic eligibility criteria and can be placed in an appropriate practice group. To be eligible for the swim team a swimmer must be: 1) 18 years or younger as of May 29th; 2) a member of the pool; and 3) able to swim one length of the pool using freestyle and rhythmic breathing. Coaches will be holding swim tests Tuesday June 1st according to the following schedule: 6's and 8's 4:30 pm; 10's and 12's 4:50pm; 14's and Opens 5:10pm.

Practice Times
Swim team practices are held Monday through Friday beginning on Wednesday June 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Afternoon practice times (before schools are finished) are as follows: 8 &under 4:00 - 4:30; 10 & under and 12 & under 4:30 - 5:30; 14 & under and Opens 5:30-6:30. After school practices will continue through Friday, June 18th. Morning practices will begin on Monday, June 21st. Please check the pool bulletin board and emails for further announcements as dates may change to accommodate school schedules. Practice groups for morning practice will be posted by coaching staff.

Swim Suits
Green Woods swim team suits are typically used for 2- years. We DO have a new suit for 2011 and 2012 seasons: Speedo "Zebra-Haze" in green and black. A fitting and sales session has been arranged for Mon 6/13 at green Woods. If you are a returning swimmer, you may purchase your suits now at The Swim Shop, make sure you mention you swim for Green Woods to get special pricing.
